If we command our wealth, we shall be rich and free. If our wealth commands us, we are poor indeed.
Jason Totedo, CFA
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, I’ve dedicated my entire career to investment management and research. As the founder of Long Term Capital Management, I hold myself to the highest standards of unbiased decision-making and client-forward strategizing. I’ve acted as a fiduciary for my clients for 18 years since receiving my Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2001.
I entered the financial industry after graduating from the University of Delaware in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in economics. Shortly after graduation, I secured a position as an unpaid intern in the investment management field. That led to my first job at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, the oldest stock exchange in America. Eventually moving to New York, the next six years were spent on Wall Street where I worked in various fixed income and derivative trading capacities.
I received my CFA® designation and switched coasts to work at Wilshire Associates, a large pension consulting firm in California. During the 10 years I was there, I focused on portfolio construction with an emphasis on risk management and asset allocation. Over time, I stepped into the position of managing director and eventually became a partner. I moved to the Northwest to be closer to family, bringing my experience from large firms in Philadelphia, New York City and Los Angeles to clients here.
Since 2001, I’ve worked entirely for my clients, not for commissions. I believe that offering comprehensive solutions that encompass my client’s entire financial picture is the best way to optimize the path forward. I do this using my own decades of experience, as well as the strategic, long-standing partnerships I have with tax and estate professionals.
